A picture posted by Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport shows the immaculate condition that the Japanese team left their locker room in at the FIVB Volleyball World Championships.

The picture, published on September 14th was captioned, “Here’s how the Japanese leave the locker room. All ordered as when they arrived…”

In the photo you can see that the team went through the effort of organizing their trash and leaving at least the portion of the locker room that’s visible in the photo clean and tidy.

It’s not only the country’s volleyball team that is known for this. At the 2018 FIFA World Cup of Soccer in Russia, following a loss the Japanese team not only cleaned up their locker room, but left a thank you note in Russian.

Japanese teams have been known for their grace during international competition including efforts such as bowing to their fans, and making sure to clean up after themselves.

The picture was published on September 14th, the same day that they lost 3-1 to Slovenia. That was their second loss of the tournament following a loss to Italy on the 9th and a victory against the Dominican Republic on the 13th.

Most recently Japan lost to Belgium on the 16th giving them a 1-3 win-loss record. They’re currently ranked 5th out of six teams in Pool A. Their next match will take place on the 18th against Argentina.
