Although Belgium has an edge on Canada in the Group 1 table, both teams remain very much alive for a spot in the final six. The meeting is a rematch of both sides first World League game when Canada took down Belgium in five sets.

Belgium opens the day in fifth of the Group 1 table with a 3-3 record and 10 points. However, the race is tight for the last three final six spots, making the match extremely important. Belgium is led by Bram Van Den Dries, who is the Group 1 leader in kills and third in points.

Graham Vigrass has been one of the best blockers in Group 1, ranking fifth with 14 of them. He will look to slow down Van Den Dries and the Belgium attack in a crucial match for Canada’s final six hopes. Canada started the day in ninth, but with seven points is in striking distance of Belgium.

Belgium has a chance to gain some distance and maintain itself in the top six while Canada can move up in standings with a win. Regardless, the match is critical for both with undefeated France still on the ledger in each of the countries final two matches. Both teams are 3-3, and the first match when Canada’s way 15-13 in the fifth set meaning for a solid rematch.
