Live Now: Estonia Seeks Out Gold In First World League Appearance

2017 FIVB WORLD LEAGUE

After each took down their opponents in straight sets in the semifinals, Spain and Estonia will take each other on in the Group 3 finals.

Spain has been led by Andres J. Villena in the World League, with 111 points to his name, taking the top spot in the overall points leaders board. Sergio Noda Blanco has also been a huge contributing force for the Spaniards, as has produced 91 points in the tournament. Villena dominated for Spain in the semifinals, putting down 22 points on 20 kills and two blocks.

Estonia is making an incredible run in the World League, with it being just their first year in the competition. Robert Taht led the Estonian to the finals with 16 points against Mexico in the semifinals, while also being the team’s top scorer in Group 3 with 90 points.
