Team of the Week: Sesi/SP
Sesi/SP was able to score an unexpected win over Superliga’s hottest team, Sesc/RJ, snapping its impressive eight-game winning streak. In doing so, it clinched fourth place in the Superliga’s standings, which guaranteed it home court advantage on its Brazilian Cup quarterfinals match against Minas, an important commodity in today’s game. Four players scored in double figures for Sesi in today’s match, which showed how balanced William Arjona‘s offensive distribution for the game was.
Player of the Week: Murilo Endres
After eight months away from the courts, and having his doping accusation ruled in his favor, volleyball legend Murilo made his season debut for Sesi in efficient fashion. Playing as libero for the first time in his career, he helped his team achieve an unexpected victory in today’s game. It wouldn’t be a long-shot to expect to see him back in Brazil’s national team as a libero if his motivation and health holds up.
