  • Schedule/Results

In the first match of Pool E1, the U.S. Women’s National Team look to remain undefeated as they take on Turkey.

After winning Pool B1 with a 3-0 mark and eight points, the United States sits in second of the overall Group 1 table – only trailing Serbia by a point. After trailing to Russia 2-1 in sets in their first match, the U.S. stormed back to win in five and followed it up with sweeps of Italy and China. That gives Team USA eight consecutive set victories.

Turkey meanwhile went 1-2 in week one, but easily could have come out of the week with a winning record. They held a lead on Brazil in the fifth set of their final match in Pool A1, but couldn’t hold on and eventually gave up a late run to the South American side that ended the match. Still though, with four points they have the best combination of any of the teams with losing records and are in eighth place of the overall table.

Team USA has won nine of the 11 matches in this series. They will look to continue that and move to 4-0 as they begin week two of the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix.
