Week three of the FIVB World League has come to an end, with Estonia taking the Group 3 finals and Group 1 and 2 announcing their finals teams.
The weekend featured a number of top plays, with France’s Stephen Boyer being named the player of the week after bolstering his performance over the weekend. Boyer remains the top scorer in the competition with 165 points, 18 points ahead of Bulgaria’s Tsvetan Sokolov.
The United States made an incredible run in week three, coming out with a strong win over Poland to help them move into the Final Six in Brazil. The win, along with a Bulgaria loss to Argentina sealed the deal, moving the American squad into the sixth place position in the tournament, qualifying them, despite an 0-3 start to the World League.
