Serbia’s Brankica Mihajlovic Named Player Of Week At Grand Prix

After helping her team to a perfect first week at the World Grand Prix, Serbia’s Brankica Mihajlovic was named the Player of the Week after putting down 57 points in week one. Mihajlovic ended the week with 53 kills, one block and three aces.

To start off the week, Mihajlovic put down 18 points against Turkey, all on kills. In the match against Brazil, Mihajlovic was on fire, putting down 24 points on 20 kills, one block and three aces. Finally, Mihajlovic capped off her week with a 16 point performance against Belgium. In each of the matches, Mihajlovic led the Serbians in scoring to rightfully earn the Player of the Week honors.

Up next, the Serbians will face off against Brazil once again, along with Japan and Thailand. Japan ended their first week 2-1 while Thailand struggled finished 0-3.
