Brazil and Serbia fight for the top of the Pool A1 lead in Ankara, Turkey as both nations come into this match fresh off of day one victories. The 2016 FIVB World Grand Prix champions in Brazil took down Belgium in straight sets to open the 2017 schedule. They’ve now won eight straight matches, with five of the last six coming in straight sets. The Brazilians have also claimed four of the last five World Grand Prix meetings with the Serbian side.

Serbia is on a hot streak as well. After a three-set victory over Turkey yesterday, they are now riding a five-match winning streak dating back to the 2016 edition. They’ll be looking to win their first two matches of the World Grand Prix for the first time in the country’s history.

The all-time series is in favor of Brazil in his competition, but it was Serbia who won in the previous meeting, 3-2. That was one of just two losses for Brazil last year, as it was the first Serbian victory over the Brazilian side in any of the major competitions.
