Week 3 of World League play brought plenty of ups and downs with great matches and great crowds.
In a competition that came down to the final match, six teams advanced on to contend for the title.
The United States grabbed the last spot in the Final Six, which will take place in Curitaba, Brazil, July 4-8.
The six teams will be grouped into two pools: K1 and J1. The United States, which won the bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, are in K1 with France and defending World League champion Serbia. Pool J1 consists of Brazil, Russia and Canada, which is making its first Final Six appearance since 2013.
While Argentina did not move on, the team ended its time at home in Cordoba on a positive note, thrilling the crowd of 8,600 with a four-set upset of Bulgaria, knocking the visitors out of the Final Six race.
Stunning performances by France’s Stephen Boyer and American Taylor Sander as well as the return of French star Earvin Ngapeth also highlights the week that was.
In Group 2 action, China, the Netherlands and Australia excelled behind Jiang Chuan, Ter Maat Wouter and Paul Carroll respectively. The latter two advanced to the Final Four in Australia, June 24-25, alongside Japan and Slovenia.
In Group 3, Estonia brought home the gold in its first ever World League appearance.
