2017 FIVB VOLLEYBALL WORLD GRAND PRIX

  • Group 1
  • July 7th – August 6th
  • FIVB World Grand Prix Round 3
  • Schedule/Results

Pool play at the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix has completed and the 6-team final field is set. Serbia, the USA, Italy, Brazil, the Netherlands, and the hosts China will take a week off before heading to Nanjing for the Final 6 that starts on August 2nd.

Besides the competitive results, among the more significant results was a 22-point outing by Serbian opposite Tijana Boskovic. She was the MVP of the 2016 Club World Championships and the best opposite at each of the last two Club World Championships but played only sparingly in Serbia’s first 8 games. In fact, her 22 points more than equaled her output from the first 8 games combined (17). If she’s firing, based on how the rest of the field has played in 3 weeks, Serbia becomes a heavy favorite in the Final 6.
